Leon Balogun is positive his side can brush aside Egypt in both legs of March’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Samson Siasia’s men face Group G leaders Pharaohs in Kaduna on March 25, with the return leg holding at the Borg el-Arab Stadium, Alexandria.
According to the FSV Mainz defender, the Super Eagles would be targeting six points off Hector Cuper’s sides toward making qualification for Gabon 2017 look easy.
“We would be targeting to win both matches,” Balogun told the NFF website.
“If we get the six points, which would ease our path to the Africa Cup finals. Winning will be the principle driving us in both matches.
“Egypt is a big football playing nation, but Nigeria is also very, very big. There is no complex going into both matches and we have the men to give us victory in Kaduna and away in Egypt.”
Balogun, who made his international appearance for Nigeria against Mexico in 2014 would be hoping to guard the Super Eagles’ rear jealously when the seven-time African kings come calling.
