How to make a simple fruit salad

Fruit salad is a dish or dessert containing a mixture of different kinds of fruit. Different kinds of fruits that can be used to make a fruit salad such as; strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, pawpaw, orange, pineapple, apple, grapes, banana, cherry, pears e.t.c.

The whole essence of a fruit salad is to get a mixture of as many fruits as possible including the juices in a bowl.

Eating fruits is healthy as this fortifies the digestive system with nutrients the body needs in guarding against diseases, lowering the rate of heart disease, High blood pressure, stroke etc. One of the major rules of eating fruits is to take it on an empty stomach so that the body would be able to absorb the nutrients it needs quickly. If you take fruits with your meal, it’d be held for a longer time in the stomach with the food and this after sometime would ferment and rot which would result in runny tummy, indigestion, heartburn, burping e.t.c. The best time to take fruits would be 1 hour before your meal or two hours after to get maximum benefits.

You need a quarter medium sized pineapple, two apples (red & green) and asmall sized water melon.

Wash the fruits thoroughly, remove the seeds from the watermelon and the pineapple eyes, dice the fruits into small bits, mix all the diced fruits together, refrigerate and serve chilled
