Niger Republic face Cameroon in friendly ahead Nigeria clash

Niger Republic will face continental powerhouse Cameroon before they take on Nigeriain their first group game of the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda.

The Super Eagles face François Zahoui’s side in their opening game of the competition on January 18 at the Stade Régional Nyamirambo, Kigali.

The Menas will be making their second appearance in the biennial competition and must dust off challenges from the Super Eagles, Tunisia and Guinea in Group C.

The game against the Indomitable Lions who are zoned in Group B against Angola, DR Congo and Ethiopia holds on Wednesday at the Stade Général Seyni Kountché, Niamey.

Tunisia, who will try Sunday Oliseh’s men for size in Kigali have also lined up a warm up game against hosts Rwanda on January 10.

Nigeria faces Cote d’Ivoire in Pretoria, South Africa as they fine tune strategies towards winning the competition for the first time.
