Actor Jonny Labey made his debut as Les and Pam Coker’s grandson just last year but it looks as though he is already set to bow out of the role.
“We can confirm Jonny will be leaving the show later this year. We wish him all the best for the future,” a spokesperson from the soap told Mirror Online.
In true EastEnders style, he’ll of course be going out with a bang.
“Jonny is leaving in a couple of months as part of an explosive storyline,” an insider added.
“Bosses are keeping tight lipped about what’s in store but there’s plenty of drama in store for Paul before he leaves.”
Next week, Ben and Paul will finally go public with their romance by sharing a passionate kiss in the Queen Vic before a packed out bar.
Ben’s dad Phil witnesses the embrace and is less than pleased with the relationship.
However, his son appears serious about the romance and after ditching lying girlfriend Abi Branning, clearly wants to commit to his boyfriend.
But with Paul set to leave the show later this year, is Ben going to be left heartbroken?
EastEnders returns to BBC One tonight at 7.30pm.
